Novelis' Bresso plant produces pre-painted rolled products using a range of paints (polyester, polyamide, PVdF) and surface finishes. The two paint lines at Bresso use different technologies one line for liquid paints, the other for powder coatings. Specialized finishing and cutting lines enable the plant to deliver coils and sheets in a range of widths and gauges. The mill supplies the building, distribution, industry and transport markets. Novelis' Pieve plant near Milan produces aluminum coil and sheet. The site is the home of the company's first European investment in continuous casting (the plant presently has four new continuous casting units) and is also equipped with cold rolling facilities, finishing and cutting lines. Pieve supplies several of Novelis' rolled product markets including industry, distribution, and building. Aluminum coil is also supplied from Pieve to the nearby Novelis mill at Bresso for painting on the two paint lines there.
